Hi, I’m Rex
Rex D’Cruz is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Perth, Western Australia. He is the founding Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist for For Change Pty Ltd (CCP). Rex provides therapeutic services for a wide range of issues to clients across the lifespan via face-to-face and telehealth sessions.

Early On
Rex worked as a Teacher for many years overseas and in Australia before becoming a School Counsellor/Psychologist. Rex then completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra and has been working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for the last thirteen years. Rex re-located from Canberra to Perth in 2022. Rex is an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the APS Clinical College of Psychologists, and the EMDR Association of Australia.

Rex is passionate about helping his clients understand their emotions and life experiences, improve their circumstances and well-being, and learn to thrive. Rex brings a non-judgemental, friendly, and collaborative approach to therapy.

Rex provides several evidence-based therapeutic interventions and practical approaches as a means of assisting in reducing distress, improving functioning, and enhancing quality of life. Treatment approaches used by Rex include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Anger and stress management, Relaxation strategies and psychoeducation, and Mindfulness.

Being passionate about ongoing professional learning, and the scientist-practitioner model, Rex has presented Workshops/Papers on topics related to his clinical work, both, nationally and internationally (Canada & New Zealand).
